    Ripley's things

His heart pills are on the work surface .

Treats and extra poo bags are in the "Ripley Drawer" - under the microwave.

His dry food and tins of wet food are in same cupboard.

His bones, cheesy bits, chicken bits and cream cheese are in the fridge.

His lead is by the front door, in the wicker chest.

This wicker chest is also where his "going for a walk" bag is, his car-safety-harness, extra poo bags, and his long lead.

There are Ripley-towels in three places. There are some big ones in the laundry room, on the window sill. There are little ones in the antique trunk in the kitchen, and there is a paw-wiping towel in the wicker basket by the front door.

    House training

He is house-trained. He knows to jump up and scratch at the back door if he wants to go out.

    The pool

We are still scared of him falling in the pool - if it's dark, we always set a timer for three minutes if he is outside, and then go and check on him.

If it's daylight, we just keep an eye on the pool from inside.

    Hector and Echo and Ripley

Please keep the TV room glass door cracked open a little - this is their escape route to the cat-flap, which is sort of round by the back of the TV.

    Leaving Ripley

We can now leave him for three to four hours at a time - snooze time is best (morning or afternoon) - if it's the evening, we try to leave him for only two to three hours.

    Where he is allowed

    The kitchen is his base.

The TV room is fine if we are in the house - otherwise we shut the door from the kitchen to the TV room.

He is allowed to wander round the house - we have pretty much given up on the glass sliding door in the kitchen, as he can now open it.

    Taking him in the car

He is fine with this! He likes a trip out. He whines when you go slowly, and he likes going faster. His little harness thingy for sitting in the car is in the wicker basket by the front door.
